Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Kent earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting at LSU and worked with Ernst & Whinney, now Ernst & Young. He also earned his law degree from LSU. While in law school, Kent served on the Louisiana Law Review and served as a graduate assistant performing corporate law research.
Kent has practiced law for over 25 years. He devotes his career to representing individuals and small businesses across South Louisiana. His passion lies in protecting the rights of Louisiana's hard-working people against the excesses of government, giant corporations and insurers.
As a matter of public service, Kent performs legal services pro bono to various charitable organizations. Kent is a member of the Knights of Columbus, St Peter Council 12906.
When not working, Kent can be found sailing with his family on Lake Pontchartrain or gardening on his family's farm in Washington Parish.
